Joe turned towards the aesthetics of industrial music, making use of collages of electronic static in tapes, which he subjected to diverse manipulation and combined with metallic sounds of rubbed objects, mechanical noise of anonymous industrial machinery, and excerpts from radio and TV programmes. His instrumentation includes tapedecks, guitars, synthesizers, a drum machine and other instruments.
